Troubleshooting Workshop
Course Description
This course covers techniques that may be used to monitor and solve problems
that may arise on a Mirapoint system. In addition, discussions will take
place showing how to route system events to an external log server.
The course is structured into 3 areas. These areas are
as follows:
- System Monitoring and Log Protocol commands.
- Solving Hardware and Software Problems.
- Miscellaneous (Diagnostic Analysis / Contacting Customer
Support).
Course Goals
After completing this course, the student will have an advanced set of
troubleshooting skills. With these skills, the student will be able to
address an increased number of Mirapoint system issues as they come about.
Student Profile and Prerequisites
The student should have completed Mirapoint's MCE training class. Although
not a prerequisite, general knowledge of UNIX and e-mail is recommended.
